The two-day Advanced Facilitation Skills Workshop for School Faculty got off to a roaring start at Shemford Doon on February 9. Conducted by Mr. Stanley David, Master Trainer, Soft Skills Trainer, Quiz Master and Writer from Bangalore, the Workshop kept the teachers engrossed throughout.
Day one of the Workshop comprised three sessions. The first session saw the introduction of the Resource Person followed by the teachers introducing each other in pairs. Mr. David then began the session with a Human Machine Game, in which teachers were divided into five groups, each group required to enact a machine. Session 2 was on The Magical Art of Facilitation, which included another group activity on non-verbal role play. Session 3 was on Perception is Reality and involved yet another group activity in which the teachers were expected to enact a scene in which they succeed in delighting a class of students.
The Resource Person certainly succeeded in bringing to the fore the enthusiasm, creativity, acting skills and humour of the teachers.
Day 2 of the Workshop for Teachers has more group activities for the teachers, discussion on topics like Da Vincian Principles of Excellence, Integrity, Indian-isms, etc. While most of the sessions were conducted by Mr. Stanley David, a couple of these sessions were taken by Ms. Divya Roselyn.
The Workshop concluded with the distribution of certificates, feedback from all the participants and a Vote of Thanks by the School’s Director, Mr. Shailendra Benjamin.
