Welcome to Annual Day Seniors Celebration
ShemfordDoon School celebrated its Annual function for the senior Shemfordians on 19th November, 2017.The grandeur of the function was spell-binding.
The function commenced with the bouquet presentation to the Chief Guest, Dr. Satya Pal Singh,Hon’ble Minister of State, Human Resource Development and Water Resource, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation, by the Chairman, Mr. Vijay Nagar. This was followed by the lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest and other dignitaries of the school. The Master of the ceremonies introduced the Chief Guest and highlighted his achievements.The annual report of the school was read out by The Director, Mr. Shailendra Benjamin which highlighted the progress of the school and the achievements of the students. The Chairman, Mr. Vijay Nagar, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the honorable minister for sparing his precious time to encourage the students of Shemford Doon. He focused on the need for paying attention to the physical, mental, spiritual and moral health of the children. After this, the school choir sang “Itni Shakti Hame Dena Datta” which was simply breathtaking. This was followed by the Hon’ble member of the Governing Body, Lt. Gen. A. K. Singh giving a motivational speech to the students.
This was ensued by the prize distribution ceremony where students were awarded prizes for their achievementsof the year. After this the Chief Guest, Dr. Satya Pal Singh was presented a memento by the Chairman as a token of love and respect on behalf of the Shemford Family.
The chief guest addressed the gathering and appreciated the scool’s Managemrnt for their vision and the students for their hardwork and vigor for staging such a grand performance.
Finally the wait was over and the audience was dazzled by the depths of music, song, lights and joy of the play‘Krishna’. All the spectators were transfixed by the phenomenal performance of the students.
The Director, Mr.Shailendra Benjamin delivered the ‘Vote of Thanks’ and even he commended the hardwork of the students who under the able guidance and stewardship of the teachers had staged such an enchanting presentation. The program concluded on the patriotic note with the singing of the National Anthem.
Among those present on the occasion were Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat, Minster for Higher Education (Uttarakhand Govt.), Lt. Gen. (retd.) A. K. Singh, former Lt. Governor of Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Dr. Nepal Singh Tomar, the School’s Chairman Mr. Vijay Nagar, Vice Chairman Mr. Ajay Nagar, Administrative Officer Mr. K. K. Sharma, Principal Dr. Geeta Shukla, parents and students.
